Recent Achievements 

  • At the most recent AOII International Convention, we won the JWH Cup! This is the highest achievement any AOII chapter can receive. It represents the Most Outstanding chapter overall.
  • AOII won first place in SDT's Greek Grind 2016 Dance Competition! 
  • We took home seven awards total at Convention: The JWH Cup, Chapter of Excellence award, Excellence in Campus Involvement, Excellence in Membership Recruitment, Excellence in New Member Education, Excellence in Ritual, and Excellence in Philanthropy!
  • AOII is second in grades in sororities this semester and has been in the top three for THIRTEEN consecutive semesters!!! Congratulations girls and keep up the great work!! 
  • Fall 2017 we had an overall GPA of 3.61!  
  • Holly Haynes was crowned Miss University of Georgia 2018.
  • Rilee Racine led the cheerleading team all the way to the 2018 National Championship as cheer captain!
  • Alexis was just selected as 1 of the 20 newest members of Dean William Tate Honor Society! This is truly the highest honor a freshman could receive!
  • Janelle George living her political dream by interning for Governor Nathan Deal!
  • This year, AOII raised $30,147.44 for UGA Miracle's Dance Marathon! 
  • Congratulations to Claire Dodd, Emily Filer, Sarah Wobrock, Allie Meyers, Hannah Williamson, Gemma Kummerer, and Sydney Ross as AOII's UGA Visitor Center Team Members. 
  • Nina Howard is a Foundation Fellows Scholar!
  • In recent years, Lambda Sigma is proud to have received the following awards: The Ruby Award which is the highest distinction a collegiate chapter can earn, The Academic Development Cup for our outstanding chapter GPA, Alumnae Advisory Committee Performance Certificate, Total Honor Roll, Corporation Board Performance Certificate
